OOC Notes: While this is a Comic Canon Cassandra, I personally LOATHE the way her getting language was handled. I like the idea of the psionic messing with her head, and especially how it messed with her reading bodies, but thinking in words and actually speaking them can be two very different things, especially when we account for the numerous way the wiring to the brain can easily be short circuited. Also remember that the guy that "fixed" Cass' head didn't have any training and was working on instinct, so the idea that he got it ALL right just doesn't sit well with me. After all, he just needed enough to be able to communicate with her and since he could read her thoughts, speech wouldn't have been necessary.
*takes a deep breath*
To that end, you will find that my Cass speaks very little and when she does, it's one or two word sentences. This is not to imply she is stupid. She most certainly is not that. However, I do believe that spoken language is very difficult for her and it will defiantly take more then a year to get better at it. I seem to recall that the language center of the brain is fully developed at age 7 and trying to learn languages after that is very difficult for most people...so yeah, even with the psionic's help, I think she's going to be very closed mouthed.
